Oh yeah, forgot about F Dick, those are some very nice knives, which had me digging through my knife drawer Harold Leonard and Company another beauty.  Anything out of Solingen, for the most part will be a quality tool for ya.  I too agree with how the knife "feels", if it does'nt feel right won't matter what you paid for it.  I still go back to Ebay, I don't think I paid more than $30 for a knife and most were at the 10-20 dollar area, only problem there is the feel, but if you get a few extra I guarntee you'll have a friend or a friend that will buy it from...Give ebay a whirl do a search on vintage or old (insert brand) or just simply vintage carbon steel, they do take a little more care, but will take on a very nice pantina!! Good luck!!

I have a set of Wusthof and some Henckel. I'm disappointed with my Wusthof so I'm in process of replacing them with F Dick.

Hmmmmm...how about replacing them for some Copper River Red ?!?!?!?    ;)
