I have never attempted to use a smoker before and am looking for ideas for a foolproof first attempt. I dont care if its beef , pork , chicken , wings whatever

You will get a lot of advice on this one but I would suggest pulled pork. I think it is the most forgiving BBQ you can do. The high amount of fat keeps it moist no matter what happens.

My manners took a backseat.

Pulled pork is one of the easier smokes, but it is a fairly long process. For something that is easy and doesn't take a while, may I suggest chicken:

On the advice of members here I smoked a pork butt and it was fantastic! Great way to build your Bradley confidence.

First off Welcome tjmco...to me the easiest thing to smoke...with the quickest results...is chicken. A whole chicken...parts like thighs or wings...breasts can get dry if you're not careful...just my humble opinion. Smoke away man... :)

Thanks all. I did 2 pork butts and some wings. Got rave reviews unfortunately the reviwers devoured it. Whats next brisket. I guess I will have to pick up some mesquite now.
