JM -  I had that Escali model a few years ago -- it worked fine.  It died but that was my fault -nothing to do with the scale itself.

Habs -- thanks,  I'm going to look at those next time I need a scale.  The MyWeigh is good but the buttons are getting harder to press & so I don't know how long it will last.  The Soehnle is a much nicer looking scale than the myweigh.
