Be careful using the Maverick on a grill, they are not rated for the high temperatures that you typically see in grilling.  There are a few here that have experience probe wire meltdown.

I'd recommend not using the Mav. ET73 with a prime rib on the grill.  Probes fry at around 400F.  My fault for not reading the destructions correctly.   ;D

i had to buy a new one cause i knocked my whole unit into a sink of soapy water.
