Bradley Cold Smoker Adaptor Plate

Hi Gang

I am looking for another adaptor plate that came with the Bradley cold smoker box. Its the flat plate that the BPS generator would mount to. If you have one and ya aint using it PM me please  ;D

I've got one (also the bypass plug for the BDS if anyone needs one).  You guys figure out who gets it and PM me your address.  Then be prepared to wait a few days till I find something to wrap it in and get it to the post office).

Pretty simple Nepas asked first it would be his. What is the bypass plug for the BDS?

It's a plug with some little doohickey in it that makes the smoke generator think that the small cable from the Generator to the Cabinet is plugged in (not the power cable, the other, smaller one that's on the digital only).

I never thought about needing a bypass plug to use my DBS SG on my homemade smoker. I will send my info to you Ka Honu, if your willing to part with it.

Okay, it's settled - plate to Nepas, BDS doohickey to 10.5. I'll get them out sometime later this week via snail mail.

10.5 - Apparently the doohickey fits into a hole between and slightly above the power receptacles on the back of the smoke generator and bypasses the temperature control system.  According to the instructions, you're also supposed to remove the sensor cord on the Digital Smoker when cold-smoking.

Send your plate to 10.5 along with the doohickey.  I have a plate that I had promised to NePaS and dumbass me forgot to ship to him.

Okay - Plan B now in effect with both plate and doohickey shipping to 10.5.  I guess the Pony Express will take the package as far as St. Joseph, MO, but I'm not sure how or when it will actually get into Iowa.  Hell, I'm not even sure where Iowa is.

Just read my earlier post and I need to apologize to you.  Send your plate and doohickey wherever you choose.  I owe NePaS my plate and it will be on its way tomorrow.  I promised it to him and I will fulfill that promise.  My post to you was way too abrupt.  Certainly was not my intent.

Don't confuse me.  Nepas & 10.5 were the first ones who asked.  You're sending one to Nepas so he's covered; 10.5 gets mine.

If anyone else has a spare adapter plate let me know, I am looking for one also.  But I am on the edge of ordering a whole generator w/ plate from yard and pool but I am saving for a Cabelas 80L or 160L first, then getting the generator.

So if someone has one they want to part with I can continue building my big smoker and when I get the extra cash to order the generator I will offer up the adapter I get with the new one to anyone who needs it.

Um, Smokeitall, I'm just interjecting here to make sure you know the parts that are being discussed.  The plate being mentioned is one that adapts a Propane Smoke Generator to either the Bradley Cabinets or the Cold Smoke Adapter box.  The Smoke Generator and adapter, used to convert a fridge or build your own smoker is a different animal.

Oops, I am talking about the other animal then....sorry.  I guess I should have paid more attention, since 10.5 and I are both building smokers about the same size and all i just assumed that he was doing it the same way as me, he must be doing it different.  I will give him a call, maybe he has a better way of doing it.
