Got ny Bradley Original Smoker two days ago,  seasoned it yesterday and I'll be trying to smoke a beef tenderloin that I started marinating last night.  The recipe says it should take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to cook.  Anyone have an idea on the best wood to use for the smoke and how long I should smoke it?

Thanks,

jack

I used an hour of oak and it worked out well.  It was around 4 lbs of meat and it came up to 140 degrees in less than 90 minutes.  There was nothing left so I guess it must have tasted pretty good.  Thanks for the help.

I'll try to get pics next time.  The locust finished the meat before I could get to the camera.

Jacks Welcome - you are now officially on the dark side!   This stuff gets in your blood and there is not 12-step cure.  Good thing is that the family will all have a smile on their face more frequently!

Welcome to the fun, sounds like you are on the way to great food.

Watch out this smoking thing is addictive.
