Nice fish!

How did you cook it ?

Didn't cook it.  Walleye that big aren't what I would consider good eating.  She went back into the water.  Took her stats down and one day will get a replica made.  Walleye (IMHO) start losing something when they get over 3 pounds.  When they're in the 1.5 - 2.5 range, that's when they're at their best.  In fact, at that range, I think they're the best freshwater fish out there as far as eating is considered

Good fights are not necessarily a thing that large walleyes will give.  The larger ones generally try to keep you at the bottom of the body of water you're fishing.  Smaller walleyes will kind of give you a tap-tap when biting your lure or bait.  This one took the jig and leech hard and provided a great fight on an ultralight rod and reel but it isn't necessarily a fight where they'll wind off a lot of line (although this one did a pretty good job at it).

They're one of my favorite fish to go after.  If you ever get a chance to go fishing in Lake Erie or Devils Lake in North Dakota, you won't regret it

That is one thing that I miss being in Missouri, good Walleye fishing.  They have a few places down here and they are trying to build the population in others but most of the people still look at you kinda funny when you talk about Walleye fishing.  But thats what the weekend trips back to Wisconsin are for  :)

I let it slide......I figured you probably needed to give one out as long as I've been gone.  It's the same way a drug dealer gets a person hooked......the first one is on me  ;) ;D ;D ;D
