QuoteOh, I'd be sure to leave a cooler of midwest US beef and some Proper Kentucky bourbon...

Now you are talking. When do you arrive, I will even pick you up off the plane?!  ;) :D

QuoteMan you got it made....

I know I am VERY lucky, tonight we are having paella with lobster and scallops bought ashore yesterday.  ;D

QuoteMy secret fantasy is having two men; One to do the cooking and the other to do the cleaning.

Since we are talking fantasy's this is (one!) of mine:

Manxman,

I have recently bought a BBQ apron that says;

My secret fantasy is having two men; One to do the cooking and the other to do the cleaning.

It looks like your are half way on getting there.

I am also jealous and envious of being able to buy daily fresh sea food.

Post a pic of you and that apron as there are several single men on this site...  :)  Never know~~!

Manxman,
Your son is just precious!  He looks like a hard worker, too!
I'm doing the same thing with my daughter who's 7, I have her chopping veggies and baking things.
I grew up with a mother that didn't let any of us in the kitchen :(
When I got married I did not know how to boil an egg...REALLY!
But I did know how to clean fish and change oil, thanks to my dad.
You're doing a great job!

Great pics Manx--I used to get those scallops cheap here in Victoria but have lost touch with my contact. Makes my mouth water to see them. Pile of those scallops, a good fresh green salad, some french bread and cold white wine...oh my my!! We have been loading up on the crab this year--4 to 6 dungeness everytime we pull our trap.

He is such a hard worker Caribou, I rarely get time for a sit down and a cup of tea when he is on the go! After two minutes it is always "what can we do next dad"!  ;) :D

Now that sounds great tsq, not used my own pots much this year  >:( and relied on getting crabs and lobsters from friends. It's not the same as hauling pots / traps yourself, even after many years of laying pots I still get excited as to what is in them as they come up from the seabed!  ;) :D

Manxman Great pic's. I hope to add a couple myself tonight. I went and bought my hunting license for the year and if everything goes right. My daughter will get to shoot her first Tree Rat this afternoon after school.

Here's a pic of my niece I took out salmon fishing this year to catch her first fish. She caught 4 salmon and you can see the bucket of crab in the corner of the picture. She cracked everyone up at the cleaning dock when I was teasing her about cleaning her own fish being part of the whole experience. Her reply, "I'd rather throw them back!" Made all the boys howl on the wharf. I kept asking her if she was feeling OK cause I took my other niece out a few years ago and she swears her Uncle Tom is an evil man who likes to make girls feel seasick. :D
