Last night I was up quite some time going over your new download.  I went over just about everything in your download. Great Job. I really liked the way you laid out the new recipes. That was a nice touch! First class job~~!

Now on to something that I need to let everyone know. Not to sound the horn of doom, but you all need to download a copy of the recipe site. I have pancreatic problems and at times they don't allow me to... Plus the damn morphine does not really work anylonger.

10 days, 10 months or 10 years... damn doctors don't know. I'm sharing this with you all to impress upon you the importance of downloading the recipe site. When the "when-time" comes I'm not sure Susan will maintain the site.

Given the thousands of hours past and current members have put into the recipe site I sure would hate to see it all go up in vain.

Now I don't want any E-mails or postings or PMs concerning my health.  Chit happens. I've told you all about this in hopes that you will understand the importance of downloading the recipe site.

I will share this with you all. I've done what I wanted to do, when I wanted to do it and no one has ever governed my life. I have a great family, a nice little company, and one hellva go-fast-car. Took her out a few weeks back and hit a little over 170 mph! And She still had something in her britches~~!

'nough said. Now go download the recipe site.

I have to know....
What is the go fast car kicking ass at 170 ?

I work in the insurance industry, deal with total losses and sold a MB McLaren AMG
5.5 L  Twin turbo    515 HP
I sat in it
Carbon fibre VIAGARA is the best descriptor

Amazing job on the recipe d/l
I am sure everyone else appreciates it as much as I do
All I wanted to do was slow smoke some ribs.  Another addiction created thanks to the Bradley that requires regular servicing...  But what an addiction to have.  Even better to share here with some of the best people on the planet.

Would you like smoke with that sir ?

What do you guys use to create the compressed GSO file?  It might be a process that could be automated...   Perhaps an unattended job that runs at midnight, the first day of the month.  It could download the recipe data (however you do it now), create the GSO file, and upload the results back to the recipe site.

All of it pretty much hands off.

Back in 08 on a test track a Challenger hit 191 mph.

Here is a clip where one was taken up to 159 but the traffic and rain cause the driver to back off. http://www.zimbio.com/Sport+Car+Reviews/articles/112/MERCEDES+BENZ+90+DEGREE+TEST+TRACK+STUTTGART

Yepper she be a go-fast-car. Hell she does not even come out of 3 gear until 125-126 mph. She is powered by a 6.1 HEMI. She tacks out at 6,100 rpms. Not bad for an engine as large as a 6.1. If in manual mode at 6,100 rpms the delimiter kicks in. You cannot blow this car up.

EDIT: Just like the old 426 HEMI she is only rated at 425 hp. Don't you believe it for one second. Oh ya...she has 16 spark plugs! She is as close to being a true Hemispherical Engine as the market will bear.

She is a little tanked IMO 0 to 35 mph. After that 35 to 60 is:
1 - Mississippi
2 - Mississippi
And you can take that statement to the bank!

The reason I purchased her was I owned a 1970 Challenger RT with a 426 HEMI. She is a close retro.
1970 HEMI powered Challenger:

I plan in a couple of year of giving the Challenger to my Operations Manager, as Dodge unless the bean-counters kill it, will come out with a larger HEMI. If they do I will get one with the Viper Tranny.

With all said and done, believe it or not the Challenger is not my favorite toy. It is the car I have willed to my granddaughter, Mackenzie. It is a British 1972 MG Midget.

Now the Midget is a fun car to drive.

Yepper I can agree with the ZOOM----ZOOM! The 396 was rock solid.

QuoteThat is a sweet little MG there Oldman.
Thanks! Funny that car was only $2,200.00 new in 72. Today I have over 44K in it. When I finish her out I will have another 15K in her. What you don't see in the photos is some body work and there is now a supercharger for her. She is 1275cc with a 5 gallon fuel tank~~!

That program you discribe sounds great, but it's not the type of program we use. :)

The program is GoldSection Notes, but the program the end user has is GoldenSection Reader. To enter the information into a GSO file, one needs to manually highlight the information you want to copy, then paste it into the program. It generally will needs formatting after it is pasted, because not all the information is pasted correctly. Then downloading the pictures, and linking them to the document is a whole other story.

Amazing toys Olds.  I have the need for speed as well
I was having a mid life crisis and my financial planner told me I could not afford it so dream of car like one of these have gone by the way side.

I was a conference in Vegas about 4 years ago and had the opportunity to drive a Cup car alone with no co driver at Las Vegas Motorspeedway.  Max speed allowed with the governor on the throttle was about 140 and I managed an average of about 138 over 8 laps.  Not 170 but its about as quick as I am likely to ever go again.  I made a mistake when I was there.  I could have bought 10 laps as a passenger with a professional driver who could go to 190.  Life is full of regrets and I really wish I had taken that ride.  Never know, could be a next time.

Beauty wheels though.  I am jealous.  Very jealous.  LOL  enjoy
