I had brought up some photos that my mother takes here in Alaska and after much feedback and suggestions (Thanks CRG) I am posting this topic so everyone can take a look at some of Alaska if you have never been.

Great pictures! I was up in your state for my honeymoon a fews years back and just loved it! If I knew I could find a good job up there I would probably move up there. Awsome state!!

Most people hate the taste of beer - to begin with. It is, however, a prejudice that many people have been able to overcome.     -WINSTON CHURCHILL-

Thanks for the look DB.  Nice photos.  Is your mother a nature photographer?

Your mom definitely has an eye for capturing Alaska...her photos illustrate her passion for the beauty of this state! Having been in most of the places she illustrates, I can say that her photographs have the real look and feel that prompts the taste, smell, feel of the views she has captured.  ThanX for sharing what I never tire of seeing...well, EXCEPT for the cat pics ;)!

I'm not even HALF the photographer she is, but here's a few of my snapshots taken here in Alaska...

Hopefull Romantic

Thank you both; DB1 and Kummok for sharing these beautiful captures of Alaskan wilderness.

Kummok, great photos didn't know you was a salmon smoker extraordinaire and a bird charmer..

Thanks for all the kind words and I am glad I could share

We spent a week up there back in 2004..   Beautiful.   BIG.   I must have put 1300 miles on our little rental car.

Carolyn, you would appreciate our choice of lodging in Anchorage.

Carolyn, the first thing I'd do is get a good lawyer ...  ;D

Arnie,
You are a hoot!
I think God trademarked "Caribou" long ago!
Squirt,
We rented a c-class motor home for a week and then hunted for 2 weeks.
I even got me my own caribou, too.
I should did up a pic. :)
