Well I did the deed..  ;D I think I am going to offer up my time for our United Way Auction we do every year.
I think a couple of pulled pork butts with some slaw etc. would be great for a superbowl party.
That way I have some time to make sure I do em up right..

Good call 10.5 they said sure thing with no hesitation to three cases at 50.00 a piece.

My freezer is FULL !

Good for you DB1.  A good cause and a good price.

Where there's smoke, there's food.

Good Score Dbrown!! Now make you a bunch of sausage it takes up less room in the freezer.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Nice!   Good man for donating your time to a good cause...   That'll make it twice as fun to cook.

Nice score dbrown1, now what to do with all that pork butt.

Come on sausage, snack sticks and some smoked butt.

I will have to read up on the forums a bit before attempting the sausage.. but yeah I'll give it a shot... will have plenty of pics

Usually get pork butts at 79 cents and they average about 9 lbs.

So I noticed a lot of you got your pork butts from Costco...any other place out there that sells them?  I got a good brisket from wal-mart last week for my first smoke but I'm ready to move on to pulled pork.  Would wal-mart have something like that?  Thanks!

Our WalMarts around here (Central IL) carry pork butts.  Maybe not every week, but I have gotten them there.  Usually $1.40 a pound, give or take.

Sam's also carried them. Just start looking at all your local groc ads or maybe stop at a small butcher shop and he might order you a case at a good price.

I get most of my pork butt from No Frills or Fairway. Sometimes at Sams you have to ask the meat guy for it, they dont always put it out on the shelf.

I've found the same thing at Sam's, most of the time if you ask, they have them. Same thing with brisket.

I'll swap you some boston butts for halibut. ;D
I get it for .89 here in double pack that average 15 to 17lbs.

Buy it all!!!
