Trip to Avalon

Amidst the crazy schedule of late, Mrs WCK and I were able to make a Labor Day trip to Catalina. We had never been there before and will go back

Very pretty place.

Go by boat

Which hauls the bacon pretty good. At least I had bacon on the burger with my burger and beer special.

These guys were circling a kelp bed - so we circled them a couple of times.

The bay where you park. About an hour and half ride from Dana Point.

When you get there it is great... NOTHING to do but walk, play on the beach, eat, drink and go to the casino.

This guy is an idiot.

My speed is ... rent a golf cart and drive around the island and take some pictures.

The Catalina Casino does not have gambling. It's called a "casino" after the Italian word for "gathering place" and is an event venue with a grand ballroom and movie theater.
