They closed our little school here in town last week for a couple days...  40% absent, 6 confirmed H1N1 flu cases.

So..

(I've already had a taker for some of the GermX wipes - she might be back for more)

hate to hear that squirt, sad for the kids.

Yeah, we'll see what kind of turnout we have.   And it's 47 degrees now, on the way down to the high 30s..   Coats-over-costumes weather.

Squirt (with apologies to Gelett Burgess):

     I never saw a purple cat;
     I never hope to see one;
     but I can tell you just like that;
     I'd rather see than be one!

That's twice I've heard that today...   I think I need to fix his picture.

He is big enough that you can sing the Oom Paa Loom Paa Doopiidy Dee lyrics, as he is sauntering down the hallway.

1 hour 15 minutes and we have had over 75 already.  Last year over 200.   I bought $60 of candy.  We have about 20 kids that actually live in the neighborhood.  The kids show up in car loads.

We're seeing that now...  Van/pickups full.

Nobody's rung my doorbell yet....and I'm fixin' to get outta here to go have a beer.  Hope ya don't shed a tear.  The bar's not far it is near.  I bet I don't hit a deer.  O my God it is my fear, that my text is not being clear.  Something tells me you all will cheer, if somebody'd just knock me on my ear.

Deb, that's a lot of kids!
We're at the end of a 1/4 mile dirt road and have never had a kid come here in 12 years we've lived here  :'(
The kids figure it's too far to walk for a piece of candy.
We normally take our daughter to nearest mall to trick or treat.
But she's sick, too.

We're having mobs and mobs now...    Good!

Our daughter dressed our dog Bentley has a pirate

Degrading isn't it?

My husband just leaned down and said to Saffron "you are so lucky puppy"

No dog costumes here.
