I lost my car at a Doobie Brothers concert one time! I just knew it was on isle B. ??
The fight isn't over until the winner says it is.

We went to a Doobie Brothers concert up a few years ago.  It was outdoors.  We actually had chairs and it was spittin' distance to the stage.  Fantastic.

Where there's smoke, there's food.

bears fan

You would never guess it but I'm a vikings fan.  Ahh, not in a million years.

I've been a bears fan ever since I've been a little kid and visited the windy city and drove past Soldiers Stadium.

Hoping for a good year with our trades.

Just buggin CRG,  I knew you'd have some.  Didn't know there was 2 brothers that replaced the original.  Learn sumpin new every day.
Saw Skynyrd in '91 I think.  I must have about 15 or 16. Free bird went on for about 20 minutes.  Those dudes can solo.

Guess I will show my age, but I'm so friggen old I remember a Beach Boys concert at a Coliseum where seating in the center area was just folding chairs. I may be forgetting more than I remember, but the crowd
was enraged when they found out that Brian Wilson had a stand-in. Chairs started launching towards the stage, I caught one in the back of my head. What fun! The replacement guy nailed every song. He was Glen Campbell. And yes, I had long hair, and I freely admit I was at Woodstock. I feel better now!!!

I'm old enough for woodstockbut didn't make that one.

Wish I would have.

I did go to the Crossroads Festival (3 days) at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas a few years back.

And then there was the Monterey Jazz Festival in the late 70's. That one is all a blur!!!

Hippies!!!  Well, maybe not by todays standards.  What with all the meat and smokin and wood burnin and stuff...  I'd give my left *@%$ to be able to go back in time and see some of those bands play live when the where just starting out.  Plus it sounds like you guys had some pretty good acid back then ;)

All fond memories......and then we grow up. Most find that long term memory is retained much longer than short term. Sometimes 40 years ago is sharper than yesterday. I have checked wit professionals and they say this is true. I can deal with it.

QuoteI can always hitch a ride with others and drink their beer and let them clean the boat.
Sailor--I never want you to have a conversation with my wife--you'd give her ideas about selling the boat! My name is simply a play on my first and last initials in my name.

NOW, where I was from, we had these things we put on our feet.  We called them BOOTS.  They had pointy toes and we knew how to use them.  It's what we did with hippies.  It was our sport!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  The Beatles were commies!!!

Caney, have you ever played a Hank Williams record backwards? Spooky! ;D

TTNuge

Part of mine (Nuge) was my nickname all through school.  I was a big Ted Nugent fan and also the spelling of my last name looks somewhat similar to Nugent and it isn't spelled anything like it sounds.  Spelled Neutgens and sounds like "Nite-kins".  The first part (TT) came from my time spent on a car forum when I was a huge Audi TT fan and owner.  Then I got married, got rid of the car for an SUV and a commuter and now my wife has all sorts of nick-names for me, none of which are pleasant or endearing.
