Maiden voyage/Newbie...not feeling too smart.

Seems my first run isn't going so well...wood not advancing. When I press the advance button I can hear it move but it struggles and seems to get caught on something. Any thoughts?

You're first puck is probably in their there sideways.  You'll have to dig the others out of the tube and make sure it dropped in flat.  Make sure that feeder tube is pushed ALL the way down as well.

Same thing happened to me the other day.

Yeah Squirt has you covered, if that puck tube isn't pushed down enough the pucks hook the edge and jam.

Hi DW4D and welcome to the forum.  That happened to me on my first use of the OBS.  One of the pucks toward the bottom of the chute was cocked.  A light tap on the puck stack might fix the problem.  If not, you'll have to unload the pucks as squirt said to determine the problem.

One thing I do now is to give the pucks to light rub to brush off the loose frizzies.  It keeps the smoke generator cleaner.

Don't worry cousin.  Things will get better.  The birds might fly off.  Your daughters will fly off (but they're like homing pigeons).  Forget to close the door and the cats are gone.  Then, you only have one thing left to worry about  ;D ;D

I heard that quarlow and I can only imagine what you could go through during the three weeks. Heck I cant handle the one week I, so far, have to go through. My daughter is almost 12 and will be going through the two weeks a month cycle soon.
