Hey all, i have been lurking around the site for a while taking in all the amazing knowledge there is. I have smoked stuff for a while but about a year ago i took the plung to get the bradley digital smoker and all i can say is wow! Planning on the PID upgrade but first things first. I had a tragic accident with my smoker about 3 weeks ago. My cart broke that it was on and the smoker fell ...full of ABTs. I was so sick with what had happened that i just unplugged it and walked away. After getting back from work, i spent about 2 hours banging, bending and prying to get the box straight and the door straight. Thank god the electronics did not sustain any damage. And just to test it out, i did a brisket  ;D

Atta Boy NS jump right back into the saddle. Your warranty is probably over, besides I don't think it covered Operator Error. You might want to give Customer service a call and see if they have a scratch or dent cabinet you could pick up on the cheap.

Oh yeah Welcome Aboard!! Lots to see and learn around here.

Welcome to the group!  Sounds like your Bradley has some character now - battle tested.  Brisket, now that's a good way to come back!

Hi Northern_Smoke,

Welcome to the forum.

I know how you feel. I have the OBS, and a few years ago mine took a head dive off my deck. Banged up the door a little and put a dent in the rear, but everything is still working fine.

Northern Smoke,

Ouch, that hurts just hearing about it.  Fortunately, I have some pain killer in the fridge.

Good luck and slow smoking,

Welcome to the group NS.  I hate it when those things take a dive!  You'd think they'd behave better than that, with all that we feed them!  Really glad you got it back in working condition.

But, there is one outstanding question - were you able to save the ABT's?

Sorry to hear that NS...
Hope it's all good now!

Now you have me worried...  (My rig is on a cart).
The really scary part is that I built the cart...

That's the thing about smokers. We are a hardy lot. Good for you Noerthern_smoke. So what part of Sask. are you from. I did some touring around there in my semi back in 2000. I was very surprised with the province when I first went out there. Being from B.C., all you hear is how flat it is, but that is not the way I saw it. I quite liked the whole place.

I am from Saskatoon...its a nice little city of about 275 thousand people. Not too big that it takes a full day to get across town but not so small that we don't have any descent shops. Now if they could just fix the tempeture swings from summer to winter  :P

10-4 on that, I've been there in the worst of both seasons. Thank God for A/C and free plug ins at the truckstops.
