Yep, we're gonna park in his driveway, put Christmas lights on the RV.. "National Lampoon" style!

Be sure to get some pictures of that!

Let us know how the smokey gravy turns out...

Gonna be 40* on Thursday with rain mixed with snow...   Good day to hang out inside w/ all the food!
I'm definitely starting my big bird Wednesday around midnight.

Mrs and MIL are fixing those nasty sweet potato thingies, so I think I'll do up some of Hab's Syracuse Salt Potatoes for Squirt and myself..

You have to eat carbs on Thanksgiving,  it just wouldn't be right if you didn't.   I made three kinds of bread/rolls ;D

sodak

SoDaks are going to NoDak for family dinner.  Put store purchased 14 pounder (along with a couple boneless t-breasts) in one bucket.  Put a wild bird (about 10 pounds) in the other bucket.  Both have the same Rytek brine going.  Will take 'em out Wednesday morning and put in the 130-140 smoker for a few hours.  Finish in oven.  Travel Thursday.

I got a couple cans of Pillbury rolls.  That's the extent of my baking abilities.

Speaking of carbs...

I used to be pretty good at those but don't think I even remember how to do one anymore.

Ha! I get the same response, Olds. They challenge me to smoke a turkey not on a big holiday but I haven't rose to the challenge yet. Have a good Thanksgiving neighbors, enjoy the food and the family!

Hey do you have cashews in that stuffing. They go great with the oysters.
