Hi there Mak Daddy and thank you for sharing those pictures

I am particularly fond of that last one. YOu would not happen to know what kind of fish is that?

I am not as "think" as you "drunk" I am.

I am not an expert but I believe they are some sort of sea urchins. We see lots of all black ones but I have never seen these colored ones before. Pretty awesome looking though, they looked like neon lights under watrer!

Saw a tequila Thompson submachine gun in SF last week (photo here).  Good thing it was filled with bad booze or I'd have bought at least two or three of them.

Great pics MakD!

Nice pics!   What kind of camera did you use for the underwater shots?

I would have got that just for the bottle. That's a pretty unique one.
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

It's a sealife DC1000. Did a great job on the close up shots but not emu flash for anything to far away.
Luckily for me those urchins were not going anywhere so I was able to get really close :)
I got poked by one once, left this black ink stuff in my finger for a day or so, stung pretty bad to!

I've gotten those diving for lobsters. Hurts pretty good, and turns to mush when you try to take it out!

Somehow gloves are little help...  ???

Wana stings (pronounced "vahnah" - sea urchins) can be pretty painful.  Local remedy is to immediately douse in vinegar to dissolve the spine.  Urine also works (and is more common since most people don't carry vinegar around with them).

I don't make these things up; I just report them.

Luckily mine just went away, no peeing required :) Cool name (Wana) I will remember that.
Do you know what the difference is between these colorfull ones are?

What I meant was most are solid black, these must be a different type or something?
