I just finished paying off Ben's acl surgery and along comes Skeeter walking on 3 legs. We gave it 10 days with some rimadyl hoping it was just a sprain. No such luck. Skeeter got out of surgery a few hours ago.
All is well, the surgery went well. There goes another $1500 dollars. :'(
I hope he sends me a big Christmas gift this year although he hasn't asked what I wanted yet. :)

Glad to here Skeeter's surgery went well, sounds like (from other posts) Ben is doing good also. Maybe you need to teach those boys to stretch out before they hit the ground running.  :D

Sorry to hear about the surgery, Glad he's doing better!

HCT, Many years ago we rescued a beautiful Blue Heeler from the spca. Cost me $87 for the shots and fix job.

One day he decides he is going to heel a tractor and he came home dragging one leg behind him.

$2500 later, we had a 3 legged heeler. Today, he doesn't know he is missing a leg except when he wants to
scratch on that side and we always help him out. Still the fastest dog I got.

Is he worth all that was spent on him?     Yep, every penny!

Glad yours is doing better.

I think I own an entire wing at my vet's SHINY NEW clinic.
And we'll keep it that way!

If she would just give me a key and the codes to the alarm panel, so I can drop my critters there earlier on the way to work...    :D

I don't even want to know my total vet bill at the end of the year with 20 dogs. I sure I could have a newer Truck.

Do you use any prescription stuff?

Check to see if Walgreens carries it.  Seriously.   They have a prescription plan for the 'uninsured family members' that include pets.   Saved me a fair amount of $$ over the last couple of years...

PM me if you want some details on it.

Oh, the vet bills.  My wife and I have probably spent more on the cats than we have on ourselves.

This is TC.  He's a Bengal.  They're bred out from Asian Leopard Cats with domestic species for at least 3+ generations.  They're tree climbers.  They are reputed to hang from ceiling fans, climb drapes, etc.

Here's our idiot after he fell off of the floor to ceiling cat tree.

Did you get pictures of him falling from floor to ceiling?

You should at least get your own parking space!

I sometimes bring 6 dogs in crates in back of truck for shots and they come out to truck to give them out there and they still charge me an office visit for each dog.

I tried them Rabbi shots on Newton,  my oldest cat.
Didn't work.  He still wants to be a Methodist minister.
