Marinade Idea

I was reading about some of you using Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper to marinade in, and it got me thinking. I Have a little four head soda fountain built into a rolling cabinet that I charge up when the grandkids visit.  I stock it with 7up/Coke/and a couple of others, usually sugar free for me.  

I have the concentrated mix that these drink machine use in a number of different flavors, including Coke, Dr. Pepper, etc.  When I do my next ribs, I am going to use some of the syrup in concentrated form, marinating instead of brining.  I bet that, a little bourbon, and some spice will make an excellent marinade!
