Hey smokingthemidwest , I have the DBS 6 also and just got a pid last month. Much better temperature control with it and for making sausage you would like one I'm sure. Here's the one I have. Auber PID

Hello, I am looking into that Auber Pid but had one quick question. On the web page it said under the note section-"1) For Bradley Digital Smoker owner, an extra power cord is needed if you are going to run the smoker for longer than 13 hr. You can either purchase an extra power cord by click the box below or use regular computer power cord of your own." I guess i am confused by this? Can anybody help me with that? Thank you in advance

It is a power cord to allow your Auber to be moved around a bit. I think it is $1.50 get it or you wwill need to find one at home.

With the Auber PID you plug the smoke chamber into the PID. The smoke generator is plugged in separate. You don't use the short power cord from the smoke generator to the smoke tower. That is why you need 2 power cords. If you don't have an extra cord, order the one from Auber, the price is right.
