Finally got my vent hooked up, used a 4" duct fan.  Took a while as all the joints in the pipe leaked smoke into the garage, ended up using truck bed liner spray,  Sealed everything up good, no smoke in the garage.  I did several test with nothing in the smoker and it seems to hold the temp and smoke just fine.  Will see what happens when I do an actual smoke.

Nice looking set up.  Is that a computer fan in the vent?  Does that solve any condensation problems?

Thats exactly what I was thinkin about doing before I built my hood.

Might need to raise the reducer up a little or put some notches in the bottom where it meets the smoker so you dont suck all the heat out.

Keep us posted how that set up works for you.

It's a 4 inch duct fan.  I brought the smoker up to temperature about 200 and turned the fan on for 20 minutes and temp still cliimbed up.  So I don't think it is drawing to much.  Also it was still full of smoke.  We will see how it goes with meat in it tommorrow.  I did see someone elses ood with the notches, that is why I did the test run but so far it doesn't seem like I will need them.
