Yeah but it is still funny to play with the big toys. I can never get enough.

Where are you and all that snow located. Plowing that snow takes much concentration if you do not want to hit something. I bet you are ready for a good sleep.

Man you are so lucky, why can't we ever get snow like that anymore.  :(

Northwest Iowa and yes it does take some concentration but I still check a curb or 2 occasionally

When my dad had his backhoe he had gotten a contract to clear snow out of this strip mall parking lot. So he would drop me off about an hour after the place closed and away I would go. I was only 14 and didn't use the old bean enough back then but I kept hitting something every so often and just figured the snow was packed in those spots so I would just dig a little harder. Well when the snow started to melt they realized that I had scraped all the speed bumps off in the whole lot but man was it smooth. Dad (I) had to pay to have the bumps put back so I worked that whole winter for nothing. :-[ :-[

NW Iowa, huh?  Me too.  Come on over and hit my driveway, will ya?  Also need my steps scooped, but I think that machine might be overkill for that job. :D

When my son was in law school at the University of Chicago, I went to visit.  He had a shovel in the trunk of his car.  I asked him why he carried a shovel around.  He recounted some of his shoveling experiences.

I knew where I did not want to live.  He is in Houston now and doesn't miss his shovel.

I was in Montana riding a horse down a trail years ago.  One of the girls in our party said she just loved Montana.  The weather was so beautiful, she could just pick up and move from Texas.  The old guide turned in his saddle, spit some tobacco juice and said with a little grin, "Ain't been her in the winter, have ya, ma'am'?"

I suppose it is what climate to which you are conditioned as to your preference.  I am not a big fan of 104 degree summers but tolerate it as normal.  During our roasting summers, the snow shovelers have more moderate temperatures and shoveling is normal in the winter.  In Texas, the state closes down when it snows (not including the Panhandle).  Conversely, I've driven in Colorado in blinding blizzards.  If you slow down, someone is going to run up your rear.

This is Ka Honu's que to chime in that some people (the more intelligent beings  :D :D) have it their way year round.

Good luck and don't slip on the way to the grader,

Pachanga
