3 cups dry beans, boiled in a slow cooker on high for 5 to 6 hrs in 8 cups of water
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup molasses
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon salt
6 slices thick cut bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces (I used 16 slices (1 lb) and I smoked them with 3 hickory pucks)
1 cup brown sugar

1.Drain soaking liquid from beans, and place them in a Slow Cooker.
2.Stir ketchup, water, molasses, onion, mustard, salt, bacon, and brown sugar into the beans until well mixed.
3.Cover, and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours, stirring occasionally if possible, though not necessary.

I let it slow cook for 10 hrs overnight and all I can say is WOW, these are great sweet beans. My next batch I am going to spice up a little more, but this was my first attempt at it and I am impressed. I got the recipe from the site listed below, I just changed a few things to fit my likeing.

Not hard to add a little heat... chop up a few jalapeƱos and throw them in. Mmmmm good!
