I've been cooking beans since Wednesday night for the school's chili cookoff..

It was fun, and they had a huge turnout.

Just a few shots of the table.  MrsC's kids made the banner + pig decor.

We started with 4 gallons of chili.

MrsC was shoveling it out as fast as she could.

30 minutes later, we've used most of our tasting cups.

When all was said and done, I scooped 1 gallon back into a plastic container.   Plenty of leftovers for us!

And I still have enough materials to make another gallon of beans...

Looks like a nice turnout. Chili looks good.

Yeah, it all turned out nice.    The winner was one of those you can strip paint with, whereas mine was pretty mild.

3 batches of beans as so:

6 pounds of pulled pork, and a 64oz container of V8 juice.

The roaster weighed over 35 pounds when I got done mixing it late Friday night!

Very Cool Squirt!

Like the flying pink pigs.  What did you play for music?

The pigs were a hit.   MrsC found them Friday afternoon at one of the local party supply stores..

I didn't go out and sample, but there were 19 teams.  The sample cups were 4 oz.   So if you could put them all down, that was roughly 3.5 pounds of chili to be had - for a flat 5 bucks.  And you could go back for 2nds and 3rds if you liked.

I bet there were some sore stomachs last night...

Deb, one of the Dad's is a DJ on the side, so they had some background music playing.

With the flying Pig, you should have had some Pink Floyd music.

Kids did a great job on decor.

Looked like a fun time.

Yeah, but we needed one more pig..

Pigs (Three Different Ones)

I guess the one in the chili would have counted!

Last year when Rogers Waters was here at the Woodlands Pavilion, I was there and 4 guys

came thru the lawn area each having a rope in their hand and a hugh

Looking back...  They should have had a silent auction going on at each table for the leftovers.
