Just get her a very young male house servant..............you won't have to cook a thing ;D

I don't know!  It must be relative - and my female type wife relative thinks differently.  I think if I gave her flowers and a card with some writing on it, she'd probably take a square ended shovel to the side of my head and then give me the silent treatment for at least a month.  She likes results and that means good food and presents!  and I'm askeered of her!

I'm jesting.  My wife is my best friend and my beloved companion, the one I want to share the rest of my life with.  And I'm gonna give her the best present she could get - me being out of the house for the weekend and out of her hair.  One of my daughter's and my ministries is always Valentines weekend and this time it is going to be in Chattanooga.  So no cooking this year, but a gift and a poem.  I'm trying to train the cat to get up early on Sunday, and take my poem to her in bed - but that isn't going too well!  ;D ;D

IMHO, anything that you gentlemen do for your ladies is a good thing, and vice versa:  be it a meal, a card, a present.....
Seemore has been doing the Valentine thing ever since I got hurt, and I don't tell him how much I appreciate it.
But those red velvet pancakes have really caught my attention!!!!!

I'm an over-achiever!  How hard would that be to make it 100 reasons?

I thought it was pretty good.

I put a lot of effort into the thought process of that Hand Made Index Card!

I even folded it in half and put a piece of duct tape on it.

Hey, we all know how hard it is to work with that stuff. She should've appreciated it.

Thats lind of like trying to answer those questions that just dont have a correct answer

Do these jeans make my butt look big ?
Do you really love me ?

Well the last Q only has one real answer

The other 2, well I have said of course  I love your hair.  Response...  you would not tell me if you did not .....
Jeans ...  same deal   .....   So I did answer honestly ONCE in a previous life
The couch started to hurt my back after a week !

You knwo what they say, be careful what you wish for....
All I wanted to do was slow smoke some ribs.  Another addiction created thanks to the Bradley that requires regular servicing...  But what an addiction to have.  Even better to share here with some of the best people on the planet.

Would you like smoke with that sir ?

You were lucky.  I might also have been banished to the couch but my back would have started hurting immediately after I fell asleep and she hit me with a cast iron skillet.

I thought about using 100 reasons as a symbol of my love, but 10 was all I could think of.

It is Valentines Day, Momma is working until noon. I have 4 kids wanting breakfast. What is a Dad to do? Red Velvet Pancakes sounds good. I used Caney's recipe with a couple of changes.

Red Velvet Pancakes

1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar or brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
4 tablespoons canola oil plus 1-2 tablespoons extra for griddle
1 cup buttermilk - adjust to make the consistency of batter you want (Used 2% all I had)
1 ounce red food color
2 to 3 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar (Didn't use Couldn't find it Momma moved it)

Cook lower so they don't brown as much

I must say these turned out Awesome!! Thanks Caney. How do I know they turned out awesome? A) I never got a chance to take a finished picture kids ate them too fast. B) The comment "Dad Loves Us more than Mom. He makes Us Chocolate Pancakes!!!" was heard. Good Thing Momma was at work for that comment!!
