I live an Hour or so outside of Houston.

The major Highway to Houston is Stae Hwy 59, but it is part of the I-69

corridor that will oneday go from Mexico to Canada.

They have been pouring a new Highway starting at Houston and working it's

North. 3 to 4 lanes of fresh Concrete.

I got stopped going thru a small community that extends out and touches the freeway.

77 in a 65. I was guilty. I actually thought I was going faster.

Monday I stopped on way back from Houston to pay the ticket. $155.10 OUCH!

I haven't had a ticket in 20 years, but my son (still on my insurance) and wife

have had enough for the whole family. In fear of my Insurance co, I ask to take

defensive driving explaining the problem I was trying to avoid with my insurance co.

The person in the ticket office told me IF I would pay the ticket and not get another

in their town for 30 days, the ticket would go away!  W T F?

I took that option, but felt like I got screwed doing it.

It sounds like a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" scenario.
For the next 30 days, watch your speed once you hit that town!

Hey CRG, at least he didn't ask for CASH to keep it from your insurance!! ;D
Live, ride, eat well and thank God!

$150?  I'll trade you.  I got one for $280 just before Christmas.

I'll convert it for the US folks.  That's 12 miles/hr over the limit.  I know for a fact it was B.S. but you never win on speeding tickets.

W T F ?
The ticket will go away, B*ll S**t, aint no ticket goin away once its in the system and if the person at the ticket office knows about it so does your insurance co.

I would still slow down, a little.

'Cause HAL wasn't parked illegally.  Wasn't marked.  No Yellow paint - No Signs.
And just for the record...  "HAL" wasn't Hal JR.
(Of course, Hal Jr. might have said it was ok to park there...)

I got a parking ticket across from Camellia Grill in N'Awlins about 15 years ago for an expired meter.  I had a friend with me and his handicap tag was hanging from the mirror.  The cop even wrote, "Hawaii Handicap placard displayed" on the citation.  When I called NOPD to inquire, the lady said, "Sorry, baby, that particular officer is pretty much a dumbass" and canceled the ticket.  I love that town!
