We have a cereal called Crispix in Canada which is similar to Chex. This recipe for party mix was on the box so I decided to try it - Bradley Smoker style!

5 cups   Crispix Cereal
2 cups   Pretzels
2 cups Peanuts
3tbp   Vegetable Oil
1tsp   Garlic Powder
1tsp   Onion Powder
1/2tsp   Lawry's Seasoned Salt
3-4tbsp   Hot Sauce

-Combine cereal, pretzels, and peanuts in large bowl
-Drizzle with oil and toss until well coated
-In small bowl stir together garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, and hot sauce
-Drizzle over cereal mixture and toss until well coated
-Smoke 40min to 1hr at 225F-250F
-Finish on a cookie sheet or baking dish in the oven at 250F, if needed

Looks good. The completely covered in tinfoil rack does raise some red flags though.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

10.5 i don't have any of those screens from Y&P so i foil my racks and pierce lots of holes in them. you can see in the bottom right hand corner of the left rack w/ the peanuts. basically every "square" on the rack has a hole pierced. it works well!

Suggestion: I use cheesecloth when I smoke almonds. The smoke passes right threw with no problems at all. It is cheaper than tinfoil. Just use 2 layers if it is the real loose mesh kind. That looks real tasty and I have put this in my notepad of recipes to try at a later date. Good job Monty.

Looks great monty!

I'll second the cheesecloth idea - it works well.

We have Crispix here in the US as well.

Bavind i used hickory on these because i was doing ribs at the same time. i try to maximize my smoker and will usually throw a tray of nuts in just to fill up the cabinet.

They have it in the grocery stores here. I put it on the grocery list and it magically appeared. (the Mrs. picked it up for me)

You should be able to get it at any grocery store in the baking section. It is very common.
