As most of you know my Son got married last week and went to Hawaii for his Honeymoon.

I had been in contact with Ka Honu as to where my Son was going and the possibility of them meeting.

When I ask Ka Honu the distance between the two, He told me 143 miles as the Crow flys.

I ask, How far of a swim is it for you. Reply, "Not far, I'll leave now. Tell him to meet me on the Black Rock Beach"

OK. Son found the Black Rock Beach. (Is actually Lava rock which adds 300 acres to the Island a year)

Finally Ka Honu shows up .... Of course He was out of breathe.

Son and Ka Honu discuss the "Secrets of Life" after a quick handshake.

Thanks Ka Honu, You have made a friend for life.

Up In Smoke

KH it was very nice of you to go out of your way for a fellow member like that.
CRG, congrats to you and yours on the wedding.

Some people are like Slinkies... They're really good for nothing.
...But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Way Cool!! There goes the tough guy/ anti social persona Ka Honu
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Ka Honu

CRG - No problem; we're all about "Aloha" here and I figured that the boy deserved a treat for contributing so much to our economy (They're staying one of our most expensive hotels).  Anyway, we had a good visit and he seemed to be enjoying himself (Honeymoon in Hawaii - of course he was enjoying himself!).

Yeah, I caught that "Could I get away with making smoked turtle soup?" look in his eye before the cop showed up and told him that I was member of a protected species.  But that's another story.

Look at that blue water. You know I am not much of a heat person but I would love to swim in clear blue near body temp water at least once in my life. Congrats to you and your son Sonny and how cool is it to meet the great
Ka Hona. ;D ;D

That's a good deal, imagine if you'd have to pay a tariff!

Looks like someone should have given the bum a razor for a wedding gift. Just kidding :D :D :D. I am jealous. Glad they had a great time over there and wish them many years of happiness.
