Received BDS6 two days ago and decided to seaqson.  Placed a total of 6 pucks in feeder tube, set oven temp to 150 degrees and set for one hour smoke time and one hour oven time.
Temperature is now reading 173 and still rising.  Been on for 26 minutes.  No smoke and pucks not advancing.

thanking you in advance for your assistance

With the smoker empty the temp will rise above the set point as the element was glowin red when the thermostat shuts off the power. Then the cabnet temp will drop below the set point as the element is now cool and needs to heat back up. When you have a load in there the swing will be smaller and as the load gets closer to the set temp the swing will be even smaller.

As far as the pucks advancing did you press the advance buttom 2 times to get the first puck close to the burner? It will take an hr to get the first puck on the burner if you didnt.

Hope this made sense.
