Tiny Tim

Was up late chatting on facebook, finally got to bed around 4 AM.  Woke up at 10:45 remembering I had an appointment 15 miles away.  Got dressed and out the door, only to find a flat tire on my truck.  Luckily, all it needed was filling with air.  Got that done, and got in, but the dang thing wouldn't crank...seems I left my headlights on when I got home from a fire last evening.  Called a buddy that was able to come by and give it a jump.  Finally on the road, but really ticked off by now, so running a little faster than I should have been, and who do I meet?  That's right, a nice Iowa State Patrolman coming the other way.  Needless to say, he stops me.  I get out the registration and Insurance card that I got just a couple of weeks ago out, along with my license.  Turns out the insurance that I thought I bought through Progressive, was really issued by non-existent Progressivist Insurance, so I got a ticket for that and the speedingl.  You can imagine I'm boiling right now, so I spouted off to the Patrolman.  Unbeknownst to me, he radios ahead to another Patrolman who gets me about 5 miles down the road, allegedly for swerving as if I had been drinking.  Had to get out for a field sobriety test, and fail as I have terrible balance.  I get cuffed and stuffed into the back seat of his car, he calls to have my truck towed, and I get hauled to the County Jail.  Finger prints and mugshots later, and upon passing a breathalizer test and a blood draw, I am released to go and get my truck out of impound.  Finally get it out, and arrive at the hospital for my appointment at 3:00.  As I am getting out of my truck, I lose my balance and miss when I reach for the door to steady myself, and end up with a sprained knee and a few scrapes from the pavement.  Fortunately, my appointment goes well, and after getting patched up, I am able to drive home without incident, arriving here just over 20 minutes ago.

Oh, by the way, all of the preceding is an April Fool's prank....the only accurate thing in it is that I had an appointment at 11:00 this morning at the hospital. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good one TT! Ya got me !!

And I got a lady at work. Walked up to her about 9:00 ish in the morning and gave her a message to call a Mr. Wale at so and so number. She asked me who he was and I replied that I didn't know, that the fellow had phoned the night before, after she had left, and had just asked for her by name.

Then I slinked behind a wall and watched her. She went into our customer data-base looking for a client by the name of Wale. Couldn't find one, so she dialed the number. I'm hiding, snickering to myself as she does this.

So I'm watching her face as the call goes through. The expression as she gets an answering machine from the Vancouver Aquarium was delightful !!  ;D ;D

Good one, Slam.  Creative.

Gotta brag a bit - I did a grilling April Fools prank.  I'm known on the Char-Broil forum for hating tofu so I started a thread saying that I found a recipe I liked and posted it with photo (see it here).  Sucked in a few of them puppies.
