Well I had my first bad experience with the Flavor Bisquettes.  When I opened the box, I noticed that the bisquetter were bad shape, they were a lot skinnier than normal and most of the chips were just falling off.  Some chips I had to toss because they were only half there.  When i tried to use the other, they just fell apart in the hopper.  They eventually clogged up the plate that pushes the bisquettes into the smoker.

Has anyone else seen this?

Phone Guy

No, but I have noticed that some flavors are more prone to flaking, leaving alot of saw dust in the package. Not enough to make a diffrence though.

Who did you get these from?

I've never had that problem. As Phone Guy states some are more prone to flaking, that is especially true with Maple. Were all the bisquettes damaged, or just one particular flavor?

It seems like they may have been mishandled before you got them. If they were stored at a site that was damp or humid, that could cause the bisquettes to begin to fall apart. If they are not packed properly for shipping, or if they are just thrown around at the warehouse, would also cause a lot of damage.

As Olds asked; where did you purchase them from?

Buck,

As others have surmised, I'm wondering where you got them from. They're pretty durable & you have to really abuse them them to get the results you claim.

Where do you live & how did you store them?

Hi Buck,

Welcome to the Forum, and sorry to hear about your bisquette problem.  I'm not sure anyone here has ever experienced that particular problem with bisquettes right out of the shipping box, though I have seen that happen to mine when I let an open package get damp or discover that my cats have been playing hockey with them.  I'm with the others--it must be a shipping/handling problem, so I'd contact whoever you bought them from pronto.  It may not be their fault directly because the shipper may have mishandled them, but either way I think that's the place to start.

The only thing I have noticed was that some pucks come REALLY packed together sometimes and are extremely TIGHT.
