Everytime I think of Texas, I vaguely remember a scene from a John Wayne movie called True Grit. John Wayne aka Rooster Cogburn calls Glen Campbell a Texican, and later in the movie he says "Damn that Texican! When you need him, he's dead." and Glen Campbell aka LaBoeuf says "I ain't dead yet, you bushwhacker. Hang on."

Well, there's a smokin monkey on this site who by John Wayne's terms is a Texican, and I'm pretty sure he ain't dead yet either, cause he sent me a batch of this stuff.

Now I don't believe I'm a bushwhacker, but these Texican's are alright in my book.

Yep that smokin monkey we got around here aint just to bad of a fellow. I know better than to call him a nice guy but he sure is.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Thats nice of that Texican.......aint it  ;D

Which direction were you going?

Rooster Cogburn: Backward. I always go backward when I'm backin' away.

Don't know where I was when this got posted, but glad you got it.

The Story is like this.

Kevin wanted something from down here and sent me toooo much money for what I sent him.

Said the extra money was for my time and trouble.

Well he kept crying about wanting to try CT so I spent his extra money on this stuff so he would stop whinning. ;D

Glad it made it there Kevin, Enjoy!

Is that last bottle in the picture an Archer Farms Carolina BBQ Sauce?  If so, is it like CT?  Archer Farms is a Target brand.  If you say it is like CT it may be a a way for us down here in Dallas to easily get a CT knock off.

KevinG

Yep Archer Farms. That's going to be one of my experiments coming in a couple of weeks to compare the two. Got to work on some other food in the fridge first.

Let me know what you think of it.  I have been intrigued seeing all the posts about CT and not being able to get my hands on it down here.  If it is close I will be down at Target ASAP.

The stuff from Target is damn good just not as "tart" as CT. It needs more vinegar to be CT clone, but it is good as a stand alone.

If you can get it, try it.

Most of the same ingredients, including wheat flour, are in both, just in different orders.

I looked at a Super Target here in Omaha and they did carry many of the Archer Farms sauces but get this, they didnt carry the Carolina BBQ sauce >:(
