Congratulation to your son, up here in Canada they are called Chief Scouts, both of my boys are Chief Scouts. I was one proud papa when they received their certificates and badges. ;D

For several years here, we'd have somebody achieve Eagle Scout status, then the following year be in trouble for vandalism or some other non-thinking deal.

I only made it through 2 years of Cub Scouts, so I didn't get involved in the getting in trouble stuff. ;D

Its a big deal.  My daughter got the equivalent in Guides.  Cannot remember what it was called though
She was the youngest ever at the time to earn it.
At the time it was like she just earned an MBA with honors !
