Does anyone have a rub they use on prime rib? Can't decide if I should use Jan's rub,Beef rub from Hab's, or Award winning rub from Raye or this recipe;
1 cup coarse ground salt (kosher salt)
2 cups black pepper
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup granulated garlic
1/3 cup oregano
1/4 cup spanish paprika
1/2 cup minced garlic

I have used this one before and it was good but thought it could use more salt and pepper.

I use Pachanga's herb rub.  It is good.

Do you happen to have a link for the recipe. I can't find it.

part way down this thread.  http://forum.bradleysmoker.com/index.php?topic=12808.0

fwiw:  I use the herb rub and cut down on the salt and pepper rub to about a third.  I have done 2 PRs this way, and they are huge hits.

Thanks think I will give it a try.
What are beef granules? Is it beef bullion broken up?

Rub it all over with Lea & Perrins, sprinkle with kosher salt, medium grind black pepper, and granulated garlic.

I'm with Hal.  I like it simple; wanna taste the beef.

I found Rieker's seasonings through family back in ND. It is great. I have used their Prime Rib Rub and really like it. You can buy it online at:
