Barbecue Facts & Figures

In 2004, the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) reports that:

14.5 million new grills were sold in the U.S.
Gas grills are the most popular and accounted for 60% of total sales.
Six in 10 barbecuers now cook outdoors year-round.
Sales of flavored wood chips and chunks jumped 10% for a total of 42.2 million pounds.
Hickory and mesquite woods are the most favored, followed by apple, cherry and alder.
Half of all marshmallows eaten in the U.S. have been toasted over a barbecue grill.

In case you didn't see my new grill here it is.[8D]Picked up at Costco in Medford, Oregon. As these grills go its not the top of the line but it has cast stainless burners. We're doing a landscaping remodel in the back and this grill is the first part. Now we can work the rest of landscaping around the new grill.
