As Brother Dave Gardner would say, "Ain't that weird?"
I meant to make a post about this sooner (but my back attacked me..)

Soooo... anyhow...
FLB sent Squirt a bunch of golf goodies.
Enough for him, me, & KyNola...

So Squirt grabbed a shirt & cap, and dropped off the other 2 (of each) -- as well as some other goodies I gotta send KY's way...
I had to mow the grass, and grabbed one of the caps (it had started to sprinkle outside).
Both caps are real nice -- I just grabbed the one off the top.

Later, when I took a good look at the shirts, recognizing that...
If we wuz both standin' there pickin'...
Me & KY would BOTH want the same one... (From Valhalla)...
So's, ya know... (rather than, "I think that one's mine, and I'll send the other to Larry...)
I got to thinkin'...  And decided we'd have a game to decide the winner.
Anyhow --- the game don't matter - what does is that I lost and KY won...
So, I congratulated KY on his WIN...

I'm gonna leave the story right there.  KY can tell ya what he told me.
But, I figger, just maybe the good Lord told FLB to give those shirts to friends, and just maybe he told me play (and lose) a game for THAT one.
Sorry, to leave y'all hanging...  But, it sure did feel good to lose

Ok Larry it's your turn. Don't keep us hanging too long ok.
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

Sorry guys, didn't realize this had been posted.  I wasn't going to say anything because to me it's not that big of a deal but since Hal brought it to light, I'll continue the story.  After having won said game of chance and thus ownership of the coveted Valhalla shirt, I told Hal(privately I might add :)) what my intentions were if I indeed won the shirt.  You see, I have a very good friend who went to the Valhalla tournament as he is an avid golfer.  That was in 2008.  Since that time he has had 3 strokes, the last one bringing on a terrible seizure.  While treating him they also learned he had an abdominal aortic aneurysm that had to be surgically corrected.  I'm happy to tell you that he is doing quite well for all he has been through but that he doesn't get to play golf nearly often as he would like as he tires easily.  I had made up my mind that if I won the shirt, I was going to pass it on to my friend.

Now here is what I think is the neat part.  When I told Hal of my plans, Hal said "if I had known that, there would have been no need for a game".

For me it's pretty simple.  It's called paying it forward.  As Paul Harvey says "and now you know the rest of the story.  Good day!"

Really, this is a nice ending to a unselfious thought.

1st of all FLBR picks out the shirts and sends them to STC.

STC takes his, sending off the other two not knowing what good deeds

lurks in hal4uk and KyNola heads.

You two play handsies and the shirt goes to the person it was meant for.

And he is smilin from ear to ear.

Yea I'd say the Lord had his hand in this cause the 4 of you guys couldn't have planned it any better.

Congrats to each of you!
