OK, so maybe I'm a little naive, but while I was working on my smoker I noticed that the label on the back says MADE IN CHINA.  And I thought they were made in Canada.  I was a bit surprised and disappointed, but I guess just about everything is made there now.  Not sure I can look at her the same any more...    :'(

If you don't want it anymore, I'll give it a good home.

We had a new "American" Chevy Monte Carlo in 1997.
Turned out, it was made in Canada.
If you can find that POS, maybe you could turn it into a smoker.
Lord knows, it wasn't fit to be called a "car".

I believe what my esteemed colleague was trying to say (after spending a weekend out in the hot sun), was that the country of assembly has little to do with the final product.   It is the thought and engineering up front, and the service and support after the sale, that make a winning product.

Bradley:  Superior product.   Some come with warts, but the support is second to none.  Happy customer base.
His '97 Monte Carlo:   Just the opposite on all counts.

If it was made here you would pay triple the price thanks to all the gov't regs.

Good point Hal.  But we do pay about $3,000/car extra due to regs.
