Thawing a brisket over the next couple days in the cafeteria refrigerator..

I wonder If I could find a smoker that I could borrow some space in on the way home Friday? 
Say, something set to around 180-190°?  Maybe a touch of hickory smoke?



I'll bring my own pan + supplies for a braise of sorts.

Ok Hal, first 3 day weekend since you've owned the Stumps.  Memorial Day, pretty much the unofficial offical start of the smoking/grilling season.  May is National BBQ Month.  So what the heck are you loading that Stumps with besides STC's brisket?  I hear you got company coming.

If I were you I would bring something to put in the Stumps.  Apparently Hal thinks it is a real nice planter that smoke comes out of every once in a while.  HOLY CRAP!  I just figured out how Hal justified it to Mrs. D.  "Honey, I found this great planter.  Now it's a little expensive but I know how much you love your plants.  It has a very unique feature tht if you burn charcoal in the bottom it distributes moisture to your seedlings".  :D :D :D :D

MrsSTC wanted to go to St Louis for some power shopping for her birthday.  We'll do that on Saturday. (and I'll make a run to Penzeys and Restaurant Depot!)

I'll send you the braise mix.  It's ridiculously easy.   Hell, I just might mix it up in a bucket.  Toss it all in late Saturday PM.
