Hey everybody,
Can someone get me a link for Jan's rub.

KyNola

My wife Jan and I developed this rub so it is my pleasure to direct you to the link on the "official" recipe website for the Bradley smokers.

Here is the link specifically to Jan's rub on the website http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?467-Jan-s-Dry-Rub

Here is the website address in general www.susanminor.org

NePaSmoKer

Really good rub. I keep a mason jar full of Jans rub.

KyNola

Thanks NePaS.  Jan will take that as a big compliment.

Mine isn't mason but there is a big shaker of it in the cabinet as well!!

It's a go-to around here too.

Best on pork or everything?

FLBentRider

We put it on chicken, mix it in burgers, on ribs, butts... etc..

DT it is a go to for everything. Its one of those that has a different flavor depending on what kind of meat your using it with. At least it tastes different for me.

Everything in my book.
I believe Kynola mentioned Jan had originally mixed it for Chicken but it works for just about anything, and you can always add a few extra ingredients to change it up just a bit.

Well hot damn, I better go get something to put it on.

KyNola

Giz is exactly correct.  Originally formulated for chicken and the trick for chicken is if you are going to smoke skin-on chicken, put the rub on just before you put it in the smoker and see if you don't think it locks the moisture in the chicken.

All of these guys decided it was good for everything from butts and ribs to scrambled eggs.  Oh yeah, almost forgot.  NePaS is exactly correct...POPCORN!

Seriously, thanks everyone.  Never dreamed it would go over this well.  Happy to be able to contribute something.

DTAggie

Ready for commercial prouction KyNola and Jan?

KyNola

Nah, too many people have the freakin' recipe by now! :D  Besides, commercial production brings on a lot of regulatory $hit that I'm not willing to go through.

Hope you enjoy the rub!
