Have had a 1936 Ford Phaeton Street Rod for about 5 years.  It stays in the garage under a cover.  Haven't had it out this year. Had it out once last year and maybe once the prior year.  Had decided to sell it this weekend at a collector car auction.  Friend of mine is taking a couple of his over and was going to handle it all for me.  I went out Monday afternoon to make sure it would start.  I keep a trickle charger on it but hadn't turned it over in a year.  Wouldn't you know it?  The dang thing started right off and as soon as I heard that 327 Chevy motor with headers and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb sitting on an Edelbrock manifold sounding off through the Cherry Bomb glasspacks that are under it, I knew I just couldn't part with it.  Costs me $200 a year to insure it so it doesn't eat much.  Looks like I'm keeping her for now.

Do you blame me?  Before anyone asks, heck no I didn't do any of the work on that car.  Bought it just like you see it.

Unless it's snowing outside, I see no reason that thing can't be driven around all the time.  Talk about a chick magnet - 80 year old chicks!!!

Man, that is a Parade car..

Hal and I are coming to Paducah in late September.   Doesn't that warrant a parade??   ;D

Would look good beside my 1936 Tudor Humpback that is a street rod also.  350/350, a/c, cruse, etc.  Take me to Bonneville Speed Week each year and may other places.

Would love to see a pic of the '36 Tudor Humpback.  Can you post up a pic?

That my friend is a sweet ride. Like you said you need to get her out more often and let her talk with you.

Kynola,

Great looking car. You did the right thing by not selling it.

Would you rent it to me?
