Someone needs to set up some sort of cross border trading service i think. I ran out of Cabelas maple and jalapeno spice and Carolina Treet....i am sure there is something i could send from up north? Maybe some Maple Syrup ehh?
Bob and Doug Mckenzie encompass all that is Canadian ehh.

Habanero Smoker

That would be a good idea. There are plenty of crossing that do not have check points.  ;)

There has to be something other then maple syrup. I'm from New York and I have to stick with NY maple syrup and products. :)

I am not really sure what we have up here that you guys don't have there. I just know what you have that we can't get haha. I heard you don't have ketchup potato chips??? Crown royal Bradley pucks? These could all just be rumors though :D

NePaSmoKer

Yes we do have ketchup chips as well as babyback rib, old bay and smoked chips. I do have a box of CR pucks  ;D

Habanero Smoker

I can also get ketchup potato chips, but no sources for Royal Crown bisquettes.

I happened to read an article today as to why not many U.S. products are sold in Canada. It seems U.S. manufacturers find it too costly to follow the labeling law in Canada; which requires the labels to be both in English and French. But that reason doesn't make sense to me. It would seem having a larger market for your goods would be profitable.

Where there's smoke, there's food.

I know BC has some pretty "unique" products.  Real pain to get across the border though. ;)

As far as our language laws are concerned, here in BC everyone thought
we were far enough from Quebec that it really did not apply. Well last
week the Language Police showed up at a small BC business. Here is the
news story of what happened, and why our labeling laws suck. The law
reads that products must be in two languages one which must be french.
I have seen products labeled in French and Hindi, Mandarin and a few other
languages but no English. Well here is the story.

Smokey the Bear.

On another board that i belong to a member asks for boxes of Shreddies Whole Wheat cereal.
If it has eyes and a head,I would probably eat it. Eh

EH  ;D

Northern_Smoke

I have never had tastykakes and am now feeling a little left out. And as far as packaging, Canada is no longer bilinual so we really only need one language. I am going to keep thinking of what we have up here that you don't have and really should. See if i can't get a trade worked out haha ;)
