3 hrs and 10mins into the cook and I hit the wall at 184 IT.  I should be ready to pull and wrap in 30 to 40 min's   : D           Funny thing about infrared, you hit the wall late compared to a regular smoker

You need to visit the Charbroil Big Easy site. You will start using it more often. I have cook loin chops, potatoes, turkeys, chickens and that is just the start.
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

So what's the competition your getting ready for?
The comp is a chuch fund raiser.  Locust Grove Baptist Church is having the event and I'm putting my money where my Big Mouth is!  I say I can do a butt as good as a smoker and I am out to prove it.  Aug 28th is the date  http://locustgrove.com/bbq-cookoff.html you can go here to see the rules and times.

So do you need a volunteer (Roll Tide Roll) helper? I can provide a willing back, staging point and 50-150 lbs of ice to help keep things cold. Locust Grove is my family's church and about 4 miles from our home. I'd be happy to help!  ;D ;D ;D

Cha-Ching. Sweet deal. Can't think of a better way to get a free meal. New friends, good food, familiar faces. Sounds like a darn good time. Score TR.

TR, if you hook up with TMB, bring your Bradley!

I have been trying to convert him for awhile.

That would be just fun to see you guys help out a good cause.

Smokin Soon

TR and Tommy [TMB], this is one of those simple things in life that makes it worth doing if you guys get together. Hope for plenty of pics and a vid.!

Just read NO electric cookers allowed.

Remember guys I don't need no stinking oil or electric cooker  ;) I have Big Easy's.  I will get a Bradley for the house though!

I hope to meet TR soon, he sounds like a great guy and if he is from the Huntsville area then he can help anytime! I'll even teach him to fry ribs! ;D ;D ;D

Sounds like a goodtime. I am not much of a church person but that would be fun.
