Got one.  Thanks for the input fellas. It was nice to see that many positive reviews so I feel confident again.  Apparently the people that shop at Amazon are really hard to please and can't use their sealers.

For a vac sealer I use the Cabela's brand.  If I had the cash I would go with a commercial grade chamber style, but you are talking $1000 minimum for one of those babies.

I vac seal lots of fish and the Foodsavers simply will not last more than a couple seasons.  They over heat and if any moisture gets out of the bag and into the workings of the unit, you may as well kiss the thing good bye.

The Cabela's Model (CG-15) has a wider sealing chamber than the Foodsaver and you can buy spare parts much easier than you can with a foodsaver.  It costs more, but I have only had to buy one compared to several Foodsavers.
