This is the best pulled pork I've ever smoked --- or tasted.  Seriously.
Ordered the shoulder from Snake River Farms.

Just rubbed it with some basic rub I mixed in a jar.  Nothing fancy; no injections or such.
Used hickory (of course).

Lots of pics:

These shots look like I added some sauce -- but, I didn't...   that's how moist it was pulled...

Money shot for KyNOLA:

WOW!  I'll PM you my address!  Please send me some!  How many pounds was it and how much?
Is it bad if my wife refers to the smoker as "The Mistress"?

Snelly, it was 20# and it was 50-something bucks - but 80ish with shipping...
Expensive for shoulder, but $4/lb delivered ain't bad --- not for this stuff...

I really don't know what to say.

Serious, that looks just like pig candy.

I have looked at this work of art about 6 times and

And I mean Hard Rock.

I price them at Pete's and with shipping from Snake River it beat Pete's by $3 lb.

Looks awesome Hal  :)

I have found that the Berkshire pork is better even for pulled pork.

That is a great deal for Berkshire.  I have paid more per lb. for a smaller one locally.

Man that does look great!  You know most of us have little problem spending $4 a pound for a choice brisket and most of us enjoy pulled pork just as much.  Yes normally pork should be cheaper but thats just because it is.  I will definitely consider this the next time I have a special...or not so special event coming up!

That's the thing!  We're just used to getting pork dirt cheap...
But, hey, $4/lb is cheaper than Cheetos!

After looking at this post of yours and the post of BLSH on the Wagyu

Brisket, these two things are going to be done for MY B-Day!

I might have to get Squirt one of those briskets when his birthday rolls around (so I can help him eat it!)
God gives everyone special talents, and apparently, one of mine is destroying brisket...   ;)

Great job on that shoulder, but next time don't doctor up those pics so much, you're making me hungry.

Awesome!!!! Beautiful job.  If I keep looking at your pork shoulder and BLSH Wagyu brisket, my grocery meat purchases are going to skyrocket.
