Bought a couple of 4lb birds.  Cut and removed breast bone.  One with Tom Douglas Chicken Rub the other with a rub from a local store.  Wife had two boneless breasts already thawed so I wrapped some turkey bacon (her choice) around them.  In the OBS with 2:40 worth of Hickory.

Sounds good!    We like that turkey bacon from time to time as well..

Freak her out by sprinkling some bacon salt on the Turkey Bacon.

There you go again Sonny trying to get me in trouble.  Finished Pics.  I have to say, this was the moistest chicken I have ever had.  Sweet Pea loved it and the wife even gave me two thumbs up.

Very nice!  Looks like some great bird DT, and if she's happy I'll bet you're happy.

They both were good.  Have not tried the bacon wrapped ones yet

what temp did you smoke this at?

DTAggie

Rogue, I had it up all the way.  Was about 265* when I put it in and it got back up around 250* pretty quickly.  Vent WIDE open

That's some tasty lookin' bird.  I was going to do some chicken this weekend but then I saw butts on sale for a buck fifty a pound...pork wins.
