I rarely go to Walmart and the one here has a very limited food section but I found these tiny turkey breast roasts  http://www.honeysucklewhite.com/ProductDetail.aspx?product_category_id=13&product_id=155   are they any good?  If you have had them do you think they will do ok as boulder birds?  They are only a couple pounds a piece I think.

Thanks

Tiny Tim

I've used them....massage the net to a new area of the bird and take out the gravy packet before smoking. ;)

I was wonder the same thing but then I noticed that there are two recent listings on this forum.

Yes, those turn out good in both the Bradley and the Traeger!

Keep the netting on so it doesn't fall the pieces..

They usually run about 3 pounds, but they include the gravy packet in the weight...  Like TT said - toss the gravy.

2 of them will make a nice pile of sliced smoked lunchmeat!

I've even done them in the Bradley hung from the netting... (from the inverted top rack)

Those are the ones I use when I can't get the big boys.  You're gonna love 'em.  Dry rub and CT, a natural poultry combination. Mmmmm

and I know what rub goes great with CT ;)  and I have happen to have some mixed up :D

KyNola

Deb,
I did not specify which dry rub was the best combination with the CT but I do happen to have a favorite. :D  You Traegerizing those birds?  I only have one word for you........HICKORY!!!!

deb415611

Yes, in the Traeger!  Going to use Jan's original rub & CT :)  I have a bunch of flavors to choose from but I was actually thinking Hickory with some cherry mixed in.    I have the boulder bird, a butt & a few small racks of local babybacks (not berkshire) for tomorrow.

KyNola

Pig in a smoker screams hickory!  Just ask Hal. ;)  You are going to have your place smelling good.

Looking forward to the pics of this loaded up Traeger.
