Ihave used Sanitary PETRO-GEL lubricant on a large Pressure cooker gasket (and other Food Related gaskets when we owned restaurants)it is impervious to water, tasteless, odorless, will not taint food products,it contains U.S.P.Mineral Oil, and has a high melting point.
The only problem I see is that it is a bit sticky and you might have to pull on the BS door a bit if you used it on the cabinet.Any thoughts for BS use??? By the way, this product is made by--McGlaughlin Oil Co. Columbus, Ohio and sold by most Restaurant Supply Companys.

BB,
Do you feel the Petro-Gel will help prevent the bottom of the door seal from twisting away from the door, which I believe must be caused by the heat? If that is the case, this would be beneficial, as long as it is not too sticky that it will pull the seal off the door when you try to open it.

         don't
