Sunday Afternoon NFL Bengal Brisket Sammies

Brisket Sammies that I did for a Party that I had over at the house watching the Bengals defeat the Panthers... Ugly game!

Sometimes I hate to acknowledge that I'm a long time Cincinnati Bengals fan.

I picked up two 5lb flats at Sam's

I applied mustard and a special rub.
I'd put this in the smoker Saturday night, around 11pm, after chatting on the forum chat room... Greet bunch of people, really enjoyed the chat!

Around 8am Sunday I checked on the Brisket...

and around 9am I was at the target point...

FTC for 3 hours...

Going to make great Sammies

Your brisket does look good. Don't feel bad about being a Bengals fans. I'm a Saints fan and one year doesn't erase 40 years of bad history.

Hal had a good brisket sandwich at Lenny's over last weekend. Don't know if he recalls or not. ;D

I guess being a Bengals fan is tough. Here's some relief for you ... being a Bengals fan is probably not as tough as being a Browns fan. I'm just relieved that I am neither. A long time ago I was driving out of Cleveland back to MI on a Sunday morning in football season, hung from an overpass dangling in the breeze over the highway I was driving was one of the famous white-sheet signs that said,

GO BROWNS,
And take the Indians With You

I remember that slogan, fans were furious with the Browns ownership.

But my Reds won the NL Central Division Championship last night and all's good.
