I got home from a quick business trip on Wednesday and found that a package from Arnie was there waiting on me.

I had a whole chicken in the frig that I was going to smoke that day but then I decided to try the Mies breading.

Next, Placed the Mies into a Ziplock bag then I cut the chicken into parts and gave a quick wash.  Placed the Chicken into the bag and gave it a tumble.

... and wallah! My first Mies experience!

Man this was easy and very good!

I felt like Tommy with the Big Easy Button...

Thanks to Arnie for the Mies...

I'm ordering some of this tomorrow!

I'm placing an order tomorrow, if you want some let me know. I'm going to order 5 pounds of this and if you just want to try it out I can give you a little. Either way will work.

Let me know by tomorrow morning.

By the way here is the link where everyone is buying the Mies: https://www.rodakscoffeeandgrills.com/OTHER_COOL_STUFF.html

I think Marvin Rodak just repackages the bulk stuff.  It's OK if you just want to try some but the shipping is a bit of a killer.

I got mine from GusRobin who bought the 'Original' as 30 pounds in 6x5Lb bags.  I got one 5 Lb bag and I've already used and given away about a pound and a half.

If someone wants to put together a group buy, get it from the manufacturer - http://www.miesproducts.com/breading.htm

The stuff is typically sold into restaurants and so comes in bulk.  Only the Original is available in the 5 Lb bags.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it SS.  I've done it on wings, chops and fish.  Chicken thighs and drums coming up next.

I don't think Rodak's repackages any Mies products, as only a limited amount of the product is available in small quantities. If you would like more info on larger orders, just call Laura at MIES, she is very good at getting back to you with a shipping quote. If some folks in the Wi area would split an order of 5 lb bags I could see some savings. Just tell her yer from the "Bradley Forum", she has been following this a bit.

SS - How did you cook the chicken?

It looks awesome.  I love the stuff.
Is it bad if my wife refers to the smoker as "The Mistress"?

Thanks Snelly, I just added some oil to my frying pan and cooked on the stove.

This stuff is great, I'm ordering some tomorrow morning.

Thanks Arnie,  I ordered some from Rodaks - I have both the original & spicy.   I tried it on boneless chick breast & it didn't work, I'm thinking pilot error and that i did something wrong.   I may try some chicken thighs this weekend.

pullinpork

I tried it on boneless skinless chicken breasts also. It was terrible had to throw it all away

Dang' it you guys.

Now I have to get some!

Mark that looks PERFECT!

SS your chicken sure does look good. I left work today just before lunch and wavered back and forth between chicken and a BBQ sandwich. Both I love but opted for the BBQ. So now I'm hungry for some chicken that looks that good!
